Texas Republican values are the Key to Our State’s Future
GOP leaders and grassroots activists from across the state of Texas will gather this week in Dallas for our State Bi-Annual Convention. On the agenda are official activities such as approval of the party platform & election of our leadership.
We’ll hear from our spectacular state GOP leadership – Governor Perry, General Abbott, Commissioner Susan Combs, Senator John Cornyn – and some national leaders such as Haley Barbour. Most importantly, the GOP convention is an opportunity to set the tone for the upcoming election season and highlight why Texas Republican values of the key to our State’s future.
Although we face economic and political challenges nationally, in Texas the narrative is a bit more optimistic. Republican leadership at the helm has yielded one of the strongest job markets in the country and while other states are suffering badly, Texas businesses and families are able to better weather the storm.
But we must do more. And the stakes are high this election cycle for Texans.
In the next legislative session our narrow focus will be on a passing a balanced budget without raising taxes and redrawing political lines through the redistricting process. Both activities are opportunities for the Republicans to continue to show strong leadership. But without a GOP majority in the Texas House and the Governor’s mansion, Texas’ continued prosperity is uncertain.
Here is the good news…YOU are the key to our success!
We cannot successfully move forward a GOP agenda of strong, safe families, limited government, freedom and prosperity without your hard work.
I hope that the energy that comes out of the convention this week will inspire you to get involved locally to help the GOP and our candidates to get out the vote.
